Tonmind's IP

IP-based audio and communication PA systems. Below is a list of frequently
asked questions to help you better understand our IP Microphone products.
Q1: How many IP Microphone models does Tonmind offer?
A: Tonmind currently offers two IP Microphone models: the SIP-M20 and the SIP-M30.
Q2: What are the differences between the IP Microphone M20 and M30?
A: The key differences are:
1.
Physical Controls: The M20 features 3 dedicated Volume Rotary Knobs on the
front for controlling the microphone, playback music, and built-in speaker
volume.
2.
Rear Panel Interfaces: The M20 has additional ports compared to the M30: 2
Audio Inputs, 1 Audio Output, 2 GPIO Inputs, and 1 GPIO Output.
3.
SIP Line Capacity: The M20's built-in PA Microphone Software supports 8 SIP
lines, while the M30 supports 6 SIP lines.
Aside
from these specific differences in controls, ports, and SIP line capacity, the
core software features and functionality are identical between the M20 and M30.

Q5: Do Tonmind IP Microphones support Video Calls?
A: Yes, they support video calls. To enable this:
1.
Register the IP Microphone (e.g., M20) and a compatible camera-equipped device
(e.g., an IP Video Intercom like the D26V) to the same video-capable SIP server
(such as the Tonmind PA System Pro).
2.
Once registered together on the same server supporting video, the IP Microphone
can make and receive video calls to/from the registered video intercom device.
Q6: How do I upgrade the PA Microphone Software on the IP Microphone?
A: You have two options:
1.
USB Method: Save the PA Microphone Software firmware upgrade file onto a USB
drive. Insert the USB drive into the IP Microphone's USB port and follow the
on-device procedures to upload and apply the update.
2.
FTP Method:
*
Find the IP Microphone's FTP server address (usually its IP address).
*
Enter this FTP address into a web browser on your computer.
*
Upload the firmware upgrade file directly to the IP Microphone via FTP.
*
Initiate the update process on the device.
Q7: How can I download music files to the IP Microphone?
A: There are three convenient methods:
1.
Upload to FTP Server: Access the IP Microphone's built-in FTP server (via its
IP address in a browser or FTP client) and upload your music files (e.g.,
MP3s).
2.
Use USB Drive: Copy music files onto a USB drive. Insert the USB drive into the
IP Microphone's USB port. The device can then access and play the files
directly from the drive.
3.
FTP Client Tool: Use dedicated FTP software (such as FileZilla) to connect to
the IP Microphone's FTP server and transfer your music files.
